Data Deletion and Account Closure

1. Player account deletion path
In the ScoreSocial mobile app, go to You -> Account -> Delete account. On the website, go to You / Account -> Delete my account. If you cannot access your account, email admin@scoresocial.app.
For normal player accounts, confirming deletion sends an authenticated deletion request to ScoreSocial and deletes the account immediately where the request is valid. The mobile app then signs you out and clears local tokens, cached account data, push registration, offline queue data, and saved in-progress data from the device.
2. What deletion affects

| Leaderboards, scores, historical league records, and audit trails | May be retained or anonymised to preserve league integrity, security, and accountability. |
| Billing, support, GitHub issues, Sentry events, logs, and provider records | May remain for limited retention periods or legal, security, dispute, accounting, or operational reasons. |
| Backups | May remain until the relevant backup cycle expires or is overwritten. |
3. Statutory erasure requests
To make a statutory erasure request, contact admin@scoresocial.app. Include the username, organisation or league, recovery email if used, and enough information to identify the account. We may verify your identity before acting on the request.
We respond within one month unless the law permits an extension. If data has to be retained, we will explain the reason where appropriate.
4. Organisation closure
League organisers and owners are not blocked from deleting a personal account just because they have an organiser role. Immediate deletion may be blocked only where the account manages ScoreSocial administration, sole organisation ownership, active organiser billing, or other users, so that ownership, billing, league continuity, audit records, and member access can be handled safely.
Organisers who want to close an organisation, transfer ownership, resolve billing, remove a league, or delete organisation data should contact support@scoresocial.app. You can still initiate account deletion or organisation closure through support when immediate self-deletion is blocked.
5. Before you delete
If you need a copy of your account or prediction data, use available product export tools before deletion or submit a request through the Data Export and Subject Access Requests page. Deletion cannot be undone through the normal app interface.
